About Two Rivers

Two Rivers Metropolitan District is a quasi-municipal district located in the heart of Eagle County, CO. The District is responsible for the operations and maintenance of public infrastructure within the community, with a focus on roads, infrastructure,  domestic water, and sanitary sewer systems.

Water and sanitary sewer services are funded through user fees, while property and sales taxes support the District's public safety, road plowing, maintenance, and general operating costs.

Within it, Two Rivers Village lives.

Two Rivers Village is a 130-acre lakefront community in Dotsero, CO, designed to provide entry-level housing for the working class of Eagle County. The community was revitalized by Fortius Capital in 2014, utilizing modular (system-built) homes that cut build costs by 30% and allowed for year-round construction. Within a year, over 25 homes were sold. Initially bought out of foreclosure in 2009, the project faced challenges until Fortius Capital acquired it and successfully turned it around, with final home sites pre-selling for $500,000.
